Pixelia is a pixel-art multiplayer world that combines city building, economy, ecology, RPG, strategy, diplomacy, and competitive mini-games into one evolving civilization.Players can start for free by creating a hero and exploring open worlds, fighting monsters, completing quests, and slowly developing their character.Premium players can create and control their own countries in persistent multiplayer worlds. They build cities, manage economies and resources, develop technology, interact diplomatically with other countries, and eventually fight wars.Premium players can invite free players to become heroes in their countries. Invited heroes progress faster and gain access to activities and opportunities unavailable in the basic free worlds.The world evolves asynchronously over weeks, progressing through different technological eras. Early gameplay focuses on exploration, RPG, cities, economy, and diplomacy. As civilizations advance, new forms of gameplay become available.Eventually, industrial and cyberpunk eras can introduce completely different gameplay experiences, such as drone racing, large-scale battles, and FPS combat inside the cities players themselves have built.The goal is for these different game modes to be interconnected rather than separate mini-games.
