Command warships, carriers, strike craft and orbital installations through a 35-operation campaign fought from both sides of a galactic war.A FLEET, NOT A DOOM STACKCommand formations: select several ships and they preserve their relative spacing around the lead vessel. Keep a battle line intact, split it to envelop, or concentrate it for a breakthrough.Bring weapons to bear: guns fire from their actual mounts and arcs. Broadside launchers, all-round point defense and a front-only spinal beam all demand different headings.Read the whole sector: radar, fog of war, contact records and terrain matter as much as the ship directly under your cursor.EVERY SHOT HAS CONSEQUENCES The Solray-class beam battleship's spinal weapon has an extremely narrow forward arc. Its beam pierces every unit on the line, including friendly ships. Gravity lances are slow, scarce and punishing. Lead the target or turn the hull before the firing window closes. Damage persists: fire slows reloads, fuel leaks shorten aircraft endurance, flight decks can be knocked offline, weapon mounts can be disabled or destroyed, and accumulated speed loss can stop a ship outright.RUN THE CARRIER WARCarriers and orbital fortresses launch three kinds of craft: space-superiority fighters, humanoid assault craft and lance/bomb attackers. Choose aircraft and launch strength by hangar slot. Attackers can switch between Lance, Bomb and unarmed loadouts; changing the loadout imposes maintenance time, so commit before the next wave launches.TEN TERRAIN TYPESFight across deep space, plasma belts, asteroids, asteroid fields, dark nebula masses, fortress walls, giant asteroids, debris fields, fortress cores and plasma streams. Depending on the terrain, ships may slow, accuracy may fall, projectiles may be blocked or detonated, and plasma streams can physically push ships and lances out of the flow.35 OPERATIONS, TWO PERSPECTIVES The first five operations are guided tutorials. Complete all 35 operations as the Planetary Union to unlock the Galactic Empire campaign. Replay the same war from the Empire side with its own progression and alternate briefings.
